The 8080A general-purpose, single-chip digital processor is a fixed instruction set, parallel, 8-bit unit fabricated with Advanced N-Channel Silicon Gate MOS technology. When combined with external memory and peripheral devices, powerful microcomputer systems are formed. The 8080A may be used to perform a wide variety of operations, ranging from complex arithmetic calculations to character handling to bit control.
