  • 10 Pack 6 AWG 3/8" Bare Copper ring terminals suitable for battery cable ends. RoHS compliant.
  • These heavy duty wire lugs can be crimped or soldered and offer high conductivity and maximum current flow
  • Each ring terminal has a flared opening for easy wire insertion
  • Excellent for distribution boxes, marine, golf cart, vehicle and motorcycle, and other indoor or outdoor DIY electrical wiring.

NOTE: These lugs are designed to fit the American Wire Gauge (AWG) standard. Some cable manufacturers overstate the size of their cables, especially CCA / audio cables — please verify that the diameter of the conductor in your cable is at least 0.10" less than the 0.319" flared entry hole for a good fit and proper crimp.

Crimp instructions:

  1. Strip the wire using a wire stripper (strip length of about 0.50" is recommended)
  2. Slide a heat shrink tube onto the wire, past the area to be crimped so that (heat shrink should be long enough to cover the barrel of the lug and at least the same amount over the insulated wire)
  3. Open your crimper and set the lug inside, then close the crimper until it is holding the lug tight. Insert the stripped cable into the lug, ensuring that all strands enter the inside of the lug.
  4. Once the wire is in position, squeeze the crimper closed tight
  5. Slide the heat shrink tube over the barrel of the lug and apply heat to seal the crimped joint

Solder instructions:

  1. Strip the wire using a wire stripper (strip length of about 0.50" is recommended)
  2. Slide a heat shrink tube onto the wire, past the area to be crimped so that (heat shrink should be long enough to cover the barrel of the lug and at least the same amount over the insulated wire)
  3. Using a vice, clamp the lug with the barrel facing up and insert a solder slug into the barrel
  4. Use a torch on low heat to heat the barrel while inserting the wire, ensuring that all strands enter the inside of the lug.
  5. Slide the heat shrink tube over the barrel of the lug and apply heat to seal the crimped joint
