The original NASA Saturn V rocket took the first man to the moon and made a proud moment for all Americans and our country. See what it's like to launch the same rocket (1:200 scale version) and make history. In 1969 the Saturn V cost $6.4 billion to launch. Launch ours for a tiny fraction of the price and explore all the possibilities — everything you need to launch your Saturn V on its own simulated mission to the moon is included!
Getting to the moon may be tough, but the Saturn V Starter Set isn’t. The Saturn V rocket is pre-assembled and ready to launch after attaching the included 18-inch parachute and adding a little masking tape (included) on the launch rod! Set up the Porta-Pad II Launch Pad and prep your rocket for flight with an included Estes C6-3 engine, a model rocket starter, engine plug, and recovery wadding. Batteries for the launch controller are included, as well as a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Carefully connect the leads from the Electron Beam Launch Controller to the starter, step back a safe distance, and you’re ready for countdown and liftoff! Create your own missions and explore the sky and beyond… The Moon is waiting for you!
This is a model that everyone will notice! It features many scale details and markings carefully reproduced for exceptional realism. When not in flight, you can put the model on display with the included stand. It’s hard to find a cooler pre-assembled rocket than the Saturn V!
Estes model rocketry is recommended for boys and girls ages 10+ with adult supervision for those under 12, and rocketeers of all ages.
